What it does
This workspace tracks one RFQ from draft through award: supplier bids, a weighted evaluation scorecard, multi-round negotiation, and a final recommendation.
What you can do here
- Click Collect bids when invited suppliers have not all responded yet.
- Review Evaluation to see how each supplier scores on your weighted criteria.
- Click Start negotiation to run up to three rounds with guardrails on price and warranty.
- Click Award on the recommendation when you are ready to lock in the supplier.
Behind the scenes
Bid collection uses each supplier's catalog pricing and terms with realistic variance. Scoring normalizes each criterion to 0–100 and applies your weights. Negotiation moves price toward a target (about 6% below the best opening bid) without going past your walk-away, and may trade lead time or payment terms; each round saves an updated bid.
Example: On RFQ-3101, Quanta's opening bid of $2,245/unit totals $404,100 for 180 laptops — about $25,900 (6%) under the $430,000 budget on price alone; the scorecard also weighs warranty, lead time, payment terms, and supplier risk.
